Garage Door Spring

Garage door spring is a vital component, and when it breaks, the door usually does not open or close. It is a common problem that the spring breaks, as they are being used every time the door opens or closes, for days, for weeks, for years.

Replacing the spring as soon as it breaks, protects other components in the garage door system from breaking, and so, eliminating repairs of other components as well.

One way to prolong the springs usage, and ensure a better and smoother operation is maintaining the springs. Lubricating the garage door moving parts, such parts are rollers, tracks, hinges, and springs with silicone-based lubricant, or spray lube, reduces friction, and helps the garage door work properly.

When a spring breaks, you can replace it yourself, but note that it requires buying the correct spring, and it requires some experience and knowledge. Note that replacing the springs yourself, may cause bodily injury or even death, and/or property damage.
